Governor Henry S. Oaminal Launches "Asenso Pamilya: One Family, One Professional" Program in Misamis Occidental

In a significant move to empower the youth and enhance education in the province, Governor Henry Sevilla OAMINAL has officially launched the "Asenso Pamilya: One Family, One Professional" program in Misamis Occidental. This pioneering initiative, undertaken in collaboration with various local government units, is designed to provide comprehensive support to students in pursuit of higher education.

With an initial fund allocation of 100 million pesos, the provincial government is committing its resources to ensure that this program contributes to the academic advancement of Misamis Occidental's young minds. The main goal of "Asenso Pamilya" is to offer benefits to approximately 3,000 students hailing from different municipalities such as Tangub, Bonifacio, Don Victoriano, Oroquieta, Calamba, Clarin, Jimenez, Tudela, Panaon, Sinacaban, Aloran, Lopez Jaena, Plaridel, Baliangao, Sapang Dalaga, Conception, and Ozamiz City.

Under the program's provisions, each student will receive a budget of 25,000 pesos to cover essential expenses like board and lodging, transportation, supplies, and other school-related costs. Additionally, students will also be entitled to a monthly allowance of 5,000 pesos, providing them with the necessary financial support to excel in their studies.

Governor OAMINAL expressed his vision for the program, emphasizing its mission to empower families by equipping the youth with the necessary education and skills to become professionals in the future. The collaboration between the provincial government and local authorities reflects a concerted effort to uplift the educational landscape in Misamis Occidental, with the aim of achieving progress and prosperity for the entire province.
