Asenso Misamis Occidental Launches ASENSO PAMILYA: ONE FAMILY, ONE PROFESSIONAL Program Aiding Ozamiz City's Youth Pursue Higher Education Amidst Challenges

In a bid to uplift the youth and families of Ozamiz City, the Asenso Misamis Occidental Administration, led by Governor Henry Oaminal, has introduced a groundbreaking initiative known as the "ASENSO PAMILYA: ONE FAMILY, ONE PROFESSIONAL Program." This program is aimed at providing educational opportunities to every Ozamiznon family, particularly the young minds aspiring for higher education despite financial constraints.

With a resolute focus on ensuring that each family has access to quality education, the program has already made a significant impact, with over a thousand beneficiaries, predominantly youth, currently pursuing college degrees. Recognizing the need for additional slots to accommodate more aspiring scholars, 2nd District Congressman Ando Oaminal stepped in and allocated an additional 200 scholarship slots, amplifying the reach of this transformative initiative.

The Orientation and Ceremonial Signing of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the grantees and the government were held on August 24, 2023. This event marked a milestone in the collaborative efforts of the beneficiaries and the administration to foster education and opportunity.

City and provincial officials have expressed their full support for the youth, urging them not to squander the chance they've been given. The officials underscored the importance of making the most out of this opportunity and becoming exemplary students who can contribute to the betterment of the city, province, and the entire nation.
